The mid western winds inspire my art and the change of seasons inspire my palate. The combination or blending of the animate and the inanimate, and that fuzzy area of reality in between, bridge the land and the sky. By using flight and bird-like shapes, I use those constructs to give the impression of flight. Additionally, the possibilities of flying transcend reality in my paintings. We see the wind and we see a bold composition thrown together by a force of nature, and it shapes the area where we live. My goal is to give a different representation of where we live, or my take on where we live, and why we live here. Big sky, big land, all this inspires my art.
